No. StayBlock works at the availability-block level — it consolidates gaps to create longer sellable windows. No new bookings are created inside StayBlock itself; it pushes updated availability back to your PMS, which then syncs to your channel manager as it normally would. Your existing OTA connections are untouched.
Guest extensions always take priority. When a guest extends and fills a gap, StayBlock detects the updated booking in the next sync and re-runs the optimizer on the remaining availability. No moves are applied to nights that are already committed — the system only works with genuinely open inventory.
No. StayBlock operates entirely in the back end — it suggests and logs room-level consolidation moves, but guests are never contacted by the platform. Operationally, a "move" means an available room block is repositioned so it appears as a contiguous bookable window. Your existing guests are not relocated. Nothing touches the guest experience.
StayBlock reads reservation data (stay dates, room type) to run the optimizer — not personal guest details. We do not store, sell, or process guest PII beyond what is strictly necessary for optimization. StayBlock provides optimization recommendations based on your live availability data. The hotel retains full operational control — moves are applied automatically but your team can review and override any recommendation via the dashboard at any time. Our Terms of Service outline the full liability position, but the short version is: you're in control, and we maintain a complete audit log of every action taken.
We're actively expanding our PMS integrations. Current and planned integrations include Opera, Mews, Cloudbeds, and RMS. If your PMS isn't on the list, contact us — we prioritise integrations based on demand from our hotel partners and can often turn around a new integration within weeks.
